A. Eye lash extensions are individual, pliable synthetic, silk or polyester lashes that are adhered to natural lashes, with a special adhesive.They come in a variety of styles, lengths and thicknesses to suit most customer's needs.
Q. Where can I get eye lash extensions applied?
A. You should always go to a professional salon, spa or lash extension specialist who has undergone training with a professional lash extension company & an accredited trainer. Ask how long they have been applying lashes. There are only a few people who have been applying lashes for more than three years in Australia. If you are not sure, do some investigating.
Q. Does it hurt to have extensions applied?
A. No, it is a relaxing, pleasant experience, done with your eyes closed, you will be lying down and relaxing. If you wear contacts, remove them before having your lashes extended.
Q. How long does the procedure take?
A. As a rule, a new set of lash extensions can take anywhere between 60-120 minutes. This depends on the experience and skills of the operator. Refills are much faster, from 30-60 minutes.
Q. How long do lash extensions last?
A. Our own natural eyelash shedding cycle is between 60-100 days. This means our own lashes are constantly being replaced in growth cycle.The eye lash extensions will need to be touched up every 3-4 weeks to keep them looking great.
Q. Are the lash extensions easy to remove if I don't like them?
A. Certainly! When you have the lash extensions applied, your professional will explain to you how to look after your new lashes. They will advise you on the correct aftercare, and how to remove the false lashes. This should only be done by your Lash professional; never pull them off yourself to avoid damaging your natural lashes.
Q. Can I shower normally with lash extensions?
A. Once you have your new eye lash extensions applied and have followed the aftercare instructions for the first 24 hours, you will be able to shower and exercise as normal.
